Anja Rubik for Giuseppe Zanotti

I'd say that Anja has definitely captured the Giuseppe Zanotti aesthetic....what a hot collection! Read on for the particulars.

She already is a successful top model, and now she is also a shoe and bag designer: we are talking about Anja Rubik, who has designed a capsule collection of shoes and bags produced by Giuseppe Zanotti.

The project has been produced by the meeting of the ideas by Rubik and the knowhow by Zanotti: the collection’s mood is erotic with a chic punk touch; the bags and shoes are refined and sensual at the same time. The collection will be exclusively available on the new online store giuseppezanottidesign.com. You just need to register on the brand’s website to pre-order it on a sneak preview. (Vogue.it)

Just enough to titillate!

Exaggerated Heels

With all the talk of lowered heels, one would think that exaggerated high heels would be few and far between. Obviously that's not the case based on my findings. As we all know, there are some outfits which are actully made better by the addition of just the right heel. Whether casual, kooky, or made for the perfect little black dress, there's a little something for everyone.

Now That's a Loafer!

This bejeweled lovely is from Alessandro Dell'Acqua's fall 2013 collection. As an avid loafer wearer, this is pretty much the pinnacle! Those socks are pretty special too....the perfect pairing!

Katie Grand Loves Hogan

And I love Katie Grand Loves Hogan....perfect for Valentines Day and beyond! On that note, I'd like to take this opportunity to wish each and every one of you a Valentines Day filled with fun, lots of laughter and of course some delicious chocolate!

Following the collaborations with Marc Jacobs, Luella Bartley and Giles Deacon, Love’s British editor has realized a new capsule collection for Hogan, after the great success achieved with Gang by Katie Grand: Katie Grand loves Hogan.

Olympia, H194 and the iconic Attractive will be the standout models of the new line that features vibrant colors like red, lime yellow and uchsia, and heart-shaped leather embellishments adding a “pop-like” twist.

Not only sneakers and slippers: Katie Grand has also designed a small handbag line, not too small, not too big, the ideal size to carry around the essential items "smartphones, keys and credit card", confesses the designer herself.

Feminine and a little sexy, Katie Grand loves Hogan is the gift that all women in love would like to receive on Valentine’s Day. (Vogue it)

Current projects

"I'm currently working on my collection for Fall Winter 2013/14 which I will be presenting in Paris at the beginning of March. For this collection I will be introducing a boot, lots of gold and polished titanium.

What's next

"I'm currently working on a new heel design that I will be launching for SS 14, an evolution of my Nouveau Collection." (Vogue.it)

Monnier Fréres

"Imposing jewellery will still be extremely popular. One trend is obvious: the overlap of jewels. We can easily carry several bracelets and necklaces at the same time. Statement necklaces will compliment any outfit. Old gold colours and elegant gems are everywhere on the catwalk! The long necklaces are still a must have accessory this season. The chokers bring a touch of romantic retro."
(Monnier Fréres)

It’s called Monnier Frères and we are ready to bet it will become the must-go-to destination for accessory lovers. A platform onto the latest designers’ creations ranging from bags, glasses, scarves and jewellery by some of the most exciting international brands such as Marc Jacobs, Pierre Louis Mascià, Missoni, Valextra or Zadig&Voltaire.

The French site was launched by brothers Guillaume and Jean Monnier: the first can boast ten years of experience in the luxury sector having worked for major fashion houses including maison Christian Dior, while the latter is an expert in e-commerce having worked in the online sector of Auchan for more than ten years.

The site, which has also an account on Facebook and Twitter through which it interacts with its clients and shows the latest novelties, boasts the participation of Marc Simoncini – founder of Meetic and web entrepreneur – in the role of subsidizer and of Françoise Montenay, chairman of the Chanel group.
Monnier Frères is a partner to Pixmania, a group active on the web for more than ten years. (Vogue.it)

I've checked it out and absolutely love their offerings! Noir, Kenneth J. Lane, Azzaro, Bernard Delettrez, and much more. Many of the items are up to 70% off the retail price!

Star Studs by Jimmy Choo

An Eighties inspiration, squared shapes and, above all, a cascade of metal studs for "Star Studs", the new eyewear collection of glasses and sunglasses for the 2013 spring/summer season designed by Jimmy Choo with a glam rock mood.

What about colours? They are feminine and charming: black and powder pink with grey shaded lens, or tobacco-coloured and fuchsia with brown shaded lens.

I'll have a black and red please!

Quest for the Horn

The horn pendant that is. Initially I searched for pendants for layering, like those worn by Aerin Lauder in the picture below. While shopping around, I ran across the ivory version by Vince Camuto which I ordered from Macys. What sold me on that one, is the pendant's size (3") and the fact that I can have two looks in one. I'll wear it as a choker, and hopefully be able to remove the pendant and wear it on a chain. I'll see when it arrives.

I've featured others that I like, and think would be a good look when layered.

Style Icon: Iris Apfel

This eighty-six year old lady is the epitome of style. She wears big, bold jewelry and beautiful ornate clothing. So popular is she, that a book was written about her titled: THE IRREVERENT IRIS APFEL: RARE BIRD OF FASHION. The book contains clothing and jewelry that is absolutely breathtaking. I like the fact that she has and revels in her "individual style". She does not follow the "fashion path"....she has created her own.

Gracious Beauty Audrey Hepburn

I think that she will always be remembered most for her role in Breakfast At Tiffany's, but from what I have read about her, she was a beautiful person inside and out. Here is a quote that was spoken by her that I think sums up the type of person that she was...."never let yourself grow up believing that anybody if different from anybody else.....love each other and do what you can for your neighbor".

"Lady Day"

Billie Holiday gave new meaning to singing a song.
